Frappé Powder for cafés running a frappé menu

Frappé Powder is a single-mix frappé base built for high-volume café use. The standard ratio is 45g of powder per 350ml serve, blended with milk, ice and an optional flavour syrup. A 1.5kg bag yields around 33 frappés. No espresso shot is required for the base flavour, though one can be added for a coffee-forward version.

Frequently asked questions

How many frappés can I make from one bag?
Around 33 frappés at the standard 45g per serve. At trade pricing of R280.87 excl VAT, that works out to roughly R8.51 in powder per drink. With milk, ice, optional flavour syrup and cup, total ingredient cost lands around R19 per frappé.

Do I need a high-power blender for it?
Yes. A commercial blender with at least 2HP (such as the OmniBlend V) is recommended for consistent texture and to handle ice without leaving lumps. Domestic blenders struggle with the volume and ice load.

Hot or cold milk for the mix?
Cold milk, straight from the fridge. Add ice, powder and milk to the blender together, then run on high until smooth, typically 30 to 45 seconds.
